Unsuccessful logo redesign – Adelaide Crows
One of the AFL clubs the Adelaide Crows has updated their logo from this:

Now, I’m a fan of the new text that they’ve used and the way its been stylised. Obvious that they are going for something more aggressive and it keeps in tune with their previous logo. However, the illustration work of the Crow is just appalling. It’s flat and looks very awkward.

I’m also a fan of the new text and I agree about the illustration. Pretty noob if you ask me. I think they should of done a bit of research, prehaps looking at Crow Calibre?
The 10% opacity photograph in the background is pretty amateur as well. Very regular class.
It’s funny though, one of my lectures at uni designed the original logo for the crows. He was taught by Winnie in High School and again at uni. No wonder he is so awesome!
